Faster Results, With A Science-Based Approach

The advantage of training at MECA is that we write specific programs for you, monitor your progress with a daily training log, and have the best coaches and gym equipment in the State of Michigan to help you perform in the gym which will translate into sport or life.

We take a science based approach and every program for every client is overseen by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, David Lawrence.

TO GET STARTED

Initial Consultation and Fitness Assessment

On the first day, you will have a consultation that will explain what we do and how it can benefit you specifically. In that initial consultation we take your Bio Signature (a 14 site body fat test), which will give us a glimpse into your hormonal profile and where to start nutritionally.

After that, we go through your upper and lower body assessment along with length tension testing. This assessment is very thorough, and helps us know your physical strengths and weaknesses.

Working With Our Coaches

After the assessment, you will be paired with a trainer that will help you progress to accomplishing your goals. They will be with you each session, on every set, and every rep ensuring that the exercise is being performed correctly and that you are progressing. Every 2-6 weeks, depending on the client and goals you will get new programs that your trainer will write, based on how fast you have progressed in the previous set of workouts. Each phase of training builds on each other to help you continuously get better results.

Sports Nutritionist Services For Faster Progress

Our sports nutritionist works with our trainers to design specific workouts and modifications to meet the individual needs of our clients. How often should I meet with a personal trainer?

This depends on your individual goals and lifestyle. Many clients start with 2-3 weekly sessions to establish a routine and see results faster. From there, we can adjust based on your progress and schedule.

What should I expect during my first personal training session?

Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll conduct a fitness assessment, discuss your goals, and create a roadmap for your training. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and understand how we’ll help you reach your fitness targets.

I’m new to working out. Is personal training right for me?

Absolutely! Our personal training is designed for people of all fitness levels. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience in the gym, we will customize your plan based on your starting point and goals.

Can personal training help me with weight loss?

Yes! We design comprehensive programs that include cardio, strength training, and nutritional guidance to help you lose weight effectively and sustainably.

Will I need to follow a specific diet?

While we don’t enforce strict diets, we do offer nutritional coaching to help you make better choices. Our approach is about balance—ensuring you’re fueling your body for both performance and recovery.

How soon will I start seeing results?

The timeline for results varies from person to person, but many of our clients start seeing noticeable improvements within the first 4-6 weeks. Consistency and dedication are key, and your personal trainer will be with you every step of the way.
